COMMUNICATIONS COORDINATOR

We are seeking a talented, part time Communications Coordinator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing publicity and communication for WHUMC as well as creating media elements to support our worship services.

Duties
– Develop and implement communication strategies for the church (website, newsletters, bulletins)
– Create inviting and compelling graphics for worship, church events and programs
– Manage weekly communication blasts for internal and external constituencies
– Write, edit, and proofread content for various platforms
– Manage social media accounts and coach staff members to respond and create content relevant to their areas

Skills
– Strong communication skills to effectively convey messages through electronic and print communications
– Initiative and proficiency in writing, editing, and proofreading
– Experience with a variety of programs such as Microsoft Office Suite, Publisher, Mail Chimp, Adobe Creative Suite or equivalent, PowerPoint, Canva. Willingness to learn new software or programs as needed, various web design and worship software
– Proficient in social media management
– Flexibility and experience working alongside staff and volunteers

 

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $18.00 – $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 25 per week

Experience:

  • Writing skills: 2 years (Preferred)
